About

Though we all speak different languages,
here at The Babblery we aim to promote understanding,
one conversation at a time.

The Babblery features conversations about who we are and how we got this way. Modern humans can seem like the ancients building the Biblical Tower of Babel, cursed by God/nature never to understand each other.ย As Visiting Translators at the Tower of Babble, our guests delve into their work, their research, and their own experiences to try to explain the bits they’ve learned about Earth’s most perplexing species.

What is a woman? The Babblery features “women’s voices and perspectives,” but what does that mean? Rather than defining the word for others, we ask our guests to speak from their worldview. In the words of Babblery guest Sandy Stone, “What is a woman? I have an identity that works for me. And thatโ€™s all I can ask of the world.” We are open to guests of any gender offering perspectives on the female and female-adjacent experience.

Interested in being a guest? We are always looking for passionate, fascinating women. Who we are looking for: A person who is open to speaking deeply about her life and work and how her gender has influenced the way she sees the world. Who we are not looking for: People promoting services or products, people who speak in empty ‘self-help’ aphorisms, people who are not willing to delve into deep conversation about this modern life.
